SAYA

A 360-degree audiovisual installation made for a second-semester Expanded Media project.

About the work

SAYA was part of my second-semester Expanded Media project. We built a full 360-degree audiovisual installation with six screens and a complex speaker setup, using the work of Berlin’s ISM Hexadome as a reference point while developing our own semester project.

I worked on the sound design, music, and spatial audio setup. The installation used a multichannel speaker system alongside the six-screen projection, so the speaker layout, transitions, and screen arrangement had to be considered together. It was presented by Dan Samuel Pariyarathu, Hafeez Ullah Baig, Ismet Bajrektarevic, and Anahita Shah Bakhti under the supervision of Georg Struck, Thorsten Greiner, and Paul Grimm. The two embedded recordings separate the sound and music material.
